Zealandia local wins $100,000 on EXTRA!

Laura Penny has won $100,000 on EXTRA!

The Zealandia local said she always adds EXTRA to her LOTTO 6/49 tickets because she loves the extra chance to win.

“I matched the numbers manually on the WCLC website—I always do it manually,” she chuckled. “I matched the last four numbers and said, ‘Oop!,’ At first I thought I’d won $100, then $1,000, and then I realized I won more!”

Penny handed the ticket to her husband to confirm, and sure enough she had won a $100,000 prize by matching the last six digits selected in the July 23 EXTRA draw: 6786123.

The Zealandia winner said she is looking forward to paying off her mortgage and making a few other important purchases.

“I’m also going to buy a lot of groceries!” she laughed. “It feels so unreal—it still doesn’t feel like it’s happening.”
Penny purchased her winning LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA ticket from Red Apple at 109 Main St. in Rosetown.
