What started as a casual morning scratch turned into a $10,000 celebration for Ethan Cli – and he didn’t even know it at first.
Cli purchased a $20 PEAS BE A WINNER Scratch & Win ticket from the Shell Gas Station at 482 Range Lake Road in Yellowknife, he began scratching the ticket one morning. But like many busy players, he didn’t finish it all at once.
“One morning, I scratched half the ticket, then I scratched the other half two days later,” Ethan explained. “I didn’t know there was another column!”
“I thought I won $100, not $10,000!” he laughed.
It wasn’t until he took a closer look that he realized there was more to the ticket – and more to celebrate.
“I was excited and smiling—I was really happy!” he said, recalling the moment.
When asked about his plans, Cli shared, “I will probably go on a trip.”
