Whitehorse local wins $100K on 21st birthday Scratch ticket gift!

Carson Fraser won $100,000 on a CROSSWORD Scratch & Win ticket from a $20 Super Scratch Pack that he received as a gift from a friend for his 21st birthday. 

“We were having a family birthday dinner,” he explained. “After dinner, I scratched the ticket and realized it was a lot of money, so I downloaded the Lotto Spot app to scan it and really make sure!” 

The Whitehorse local said the whole table was shocked by the win. 

“I was in disbelief!” he laughed. “My girlfriend and I were scratching tickets together and we looked at each other in shock, then told everyone else—there were a lot of shrieks, that’s for sure!” 

Fraser said he’s currently in University studying criminal justice and that this windfall will mostly go towards his education. 

“A little bit will probably go to work I’m doing on my truck too,” he admitted. “I’m building a homemade canopy for the back right now.” 

“Mostly, I want to put it towards my future,” he continued. “I’m so excited—I won’t be as stressed about things!” 

Fraser’s gifted $20 Super Scratch Pack was purchased  at Save on Foods at 100 43 Chilkoot Way in Whitehorse.
