Wheatland County local discovers $100K EXTRA win! 

Don Dueck of Wheatland County won $100,000 on the March 14 EXTRA draw! 

The winner scanned his WESTERN MAX and EXTRA ticket in-store and thought he had won $10,000. 

“I took it to the cashier and told them what I had won,” he explained. “The cashier checked it and said, ‘You’d better add another zero, because you won $100,000!’” 

Dueck said he was in shock. 

“I phoned my wife and asked her if she was sitting down,” he laughed. “We’re very excited!” 

And how is Dueck spending the windfall? He’s taking the rainy-day savings route. 

“It will go towards bills and the rest will go straight into the bank!” he said. “It feels awesome!” 

Dueck purchased his winning WESTERN MAX and EXTRA ticket from Fas Gas Strathmore Service at 340 3 Avenue in Strathmore. He won his prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA in the March 14 draw: 4453444.
