Standing Buffalo local wins $500K on LOTTO MAX!

Michael Redman won $500,000 on LOTTO MAX.

The Standing Buffalo local said he was having a slower holiday morning when he discovered the win.

“I was sitting around doing nothing, so I decided to check the ticket on the [Lotto Spot] app,” he said. “I couldn’t believe it!”

Redman called his family to tell them right away.

“They thought I was joking at first!” he laughed.

Now, Redman intends to put his windfall to good use: “I have two daughters, so this will benefit them,” he explained. “And I’m going to pay off my SUV… the rest is up in the air right now.”

“It’s unreal -- I’m still in shock!” he smiled.

Redman purchased his winning LOTTO MAX ticket from Buffalo Crossing Convenience and Gas Bar at HWY 210 and #56 Fort Qu’Appelle on Standing Buffalo Reserve. He won his prize on the December 26 LOTTO MAX draw by matching a MAXMILLIONS selection: 7, 12, 16, 17, 18, 37 and 47. Another winning ticket matching the same selection was purchased in Ontario and the two winners split the $1 million prize.
