St. Benedict local wins $100,000 on EXTRA!

A familiar numbers-checking routine turned into an exciting

moment for Pernell St. Germaine. The St. Benedict local discovered he won $100,000 on the
August 29 LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA draw.

St. Germaine said his wife checked the draw results by calling WCLC’s winning numbers phone
line.

"My wife checks the winning numbers phone line,” he explained. “She saw we had some
matching numbers, so she wrote them down."

“When I got home, she showed me the numbers, and I double-checked by calling the winning
numbers line myself,” he laughed.

Hearing the results for himself made all the difference: "Oh, I was pretty happy!" he said with a
laugh. "I was a little unsure when she first mentioned it!"

Now that he has had some time to accept his win, St. Germaine has started planning what to
do with his winnings.

"I'm going to invest it," he said. "I might get to retire a bit earlier!"

St. Germaine purchased his winning ticket at Lake Country Co-op @ Wakaw C-Store, located
at the junction of Highways 2 and 41 in Wakaw.
