St. Albert locals win $1M on LOTTO 6/49!

Nam Nguyen and Khanh Lang are on ‘Cloud 9’ after winning $1 million on LOTTO 6/49! 

The St. Albert pair regularly plays LOTTO 6/49 and were shocked when they scanned the ticket for the June 28 draw on the Lotto Spot app. 

“I saw the number and could not believe it,” said Nguyen. “I’m so happy… It feels like heaven!” 

Nguyen and Lang said they are taking time to think about how they’d like to spend their windfall. 

“I think right now the priority is paying some bills,” Nguyen said. “But we’d also like to purchase a new home…we’re going to take some time to decide first!” 

“I can’t even say what I expected this to feel like, but I was so happy and excited [to win],” Nguyen laughed. 

Nguyen and Lang purchased their winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket from Forest Lawn Co-op at 3350 17 Avenue SE in Calgary. They won their prize by matching the selection in the June 28 Gold Ball Draw: 34713801-01, a white ball.
