Spruce Grove winner claims $1M LOTTO MAX prize dressed as Elvis!
Peter Woloshyn is $1 million richer after winning big on LOTTO MAX and it’s left him All Shook Up—the Spruce Grove local decided to make a statement and dress up as the King of Rock, Elvis Presley, to claim his million-dollar prize!
Woloshyn said he called ahead of his prize claim interview to ask if he had to dress up for it.
“They said no, and that I just couldn’t wear a disguise,” he smiled. “So, I talked with my son and his girlfriend and got them to order me an Elvis costume to wear!”
Woloshyn said he discovered the win in store when he scanned the ticket himself but couldn’t believe his eyes.
“I had the cashier check it as well because I thought maybe it was just $10,000,” he laughed. “I was pretty calm at the time, but I was nervous once I got home knowing I had to keep the ticket safe!”
The Spruce Grove winner said now that he has a hunk a hunk of… money burning a hole in his pocket, he’s excited to share it with his children and tuck the rest away for his retirement.
In the words of Elvis Presley, he’s got a lot o' living to do!
“It just feels great!” he said. “After playing LOTTO MAX all these years it’s great to have a big win.”
Woloshyn purchased his winning LOTTO MAX ticket from IGA at 51 Superior Street in Devon. He won his Money Honey by matching a MAXMILLIONS selection in the August 15 LOTTO MAX draw: 8, 21, 22, 23, 27, 33, and 36.
