Sherwood Park couple wins $2 million on WESTERN 649!

Lorna and Rolando Lavita are celebrating a $2 million jackpot win on the June 6 WESTERN 649 draw! 

The Sherwood Park couple discovered their win while checking their ticket in store …and had to take a second look. 

“When I scanned it in store, I had to scan it twice and then I called my husband over to scan it again and confirm what I saw!” Lorna laughed. 

Even after confirming the win, the excitement continued at home. 

“When we got home, our daughter didn’t believe us, and she looked up the winning numbers to see for herself,” Lorna said. “I was shaking I was so excited!” 

Now, the Lavitas are looking ahead and making plans for their future. 

“We want to buy a house, make some investments, and take a trip back home to the Philippines!” Lorna smiled. 

The winning WESTERN 649 ticket was purchased from Petro Canada located at 100 - 270 Baseline Road in Sherwood Park. 

The couple won their $2 million prize by matching all six numbers in the June 6 WESTERN 649 draw: 1, 7, 10, 21, 22, and 30.
