Retired St. Albert travel agent ready for adventure after $5M LOTTO 6/49 win on Play Alberta!

Dianne Morgan woke in the night to find out she had won $5 million dollars on LOTTO 6/49 with Play Alberta—the largest prize won so far on the Play Alberta platform!

“I was awake in the middle of the night and checked my email and it said I had won a prize,” the St. Albert winner explained. “I figured it was a Free Play or $20 or something.”

“Then I checked my Play Alberta account and immediately it popped up that I had won $5 million!” she continued. “I couldn’t believe it!”

“Needless to say, I never fell back asleep!” Morgan laughed.

Morgan said she’s been playing LOTTO 6/49 weekly online for quite some time and wishes she had done it sooner.

“I like it because I get busy and forget to buy tickets, then I kept missing draws!” she laughed. “I don’t know why more people don’t do it because it’s so easy!”

Wrapping her head around this major win has been a little less simple for Morgan though.

“I’m still thinking, ‘Is it real?’” she admitted. “When you buy, you dream of all the things you’ll do… and when you win it’s overwhelming!”

The St. Albert local said she is still pinching herself over the major windfall and excitedly making plans on what to do with it.

After 39 years as a travel agent, she’s ready to do some travelling for herself!

“Five million dollars is pretty life changing,” Morgan said. “I’ve been to a lot of countries for work and now I get to play the tourist!”

“I have the freedom and flexibility to do more!”

Morgan said she’s also excited to spend time with family.

“I have a granddaughter I can take to Disneyland when she’s a little older,” she said. “And I’d love to go back to Europe—I have family there.”

Morgan purchased her winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket through Play Alberta. She won her prize by matching all six numbers selected in the May 7 LOTTO 6/49 Classic Draw: 1, 4, 8, 13, 16, and 26.
