Regina winner takes home $2M on WESTERN 649!

Lori Antoine is $2 million richer after winning on the February 28 WESTERN 649 draw and says it feels like something out of a dream!

“I scanned [the ticket] on the [Lotto Spot] app and woke my husband up to tell him,” she said. “He thought I was having a heart attack because I just yelled, ‘Oh my god, oh my god, look!’”

“I didn’t know how to tell him!” she laughed.

The Regina winner said she and her husband are excited to do some travelling together with the windfall.

“We’re going to a travel agent right away to get some brochures,” she smiled. “I’ve always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise or an African safari!”

“Right now, we have a little vacation already booked to Moose Jaw,” she chuckled. “We’re probably going to upgrade our suite!”

Antoine said she’s planning to put half of her $2 million away into savings for retirement and use the other half to enjoy with family.

“I always dreamed that this is the way it would be,” she smiled. “I’ve had dreams for years that I’d win a million dollars and wake up my husband to tell him and in real life it was $2 million!”

Antoine purchased her winning WESTERN 649 ticket from Sherwood Co-op Grasslands at 4705 Gordon Rd. in Regina. She won the WESTERN 649 jackpot by matching all six numbers selected in the February 28 draw: 1, 2, 17, 25, 45, and 46.
