Neudorf local’s morning ticket check reveals $100,000 EXTRA win!

What began as an ordinary morning quickly became an extraordinary day for Marjorie Macfie when a last-minute decision to check her LOTTO 6/49 ticket revealed she won a $100,000 EXTRA prize on the September 5 draw.

The Neudorf local said she nearly missed the moment altogether: “I woke up September 5, and I almost forgot to check my ticket,” she recalled. “I remembered and checked it and I couldn't believe it.”

“All I could think was, ‘Is this true? There are just so many zeros!’”

The surprise left Macfie struggling to focus on much else for the rest of the day.

“I was in shock,” she explained. “Later [in the day], I was trying to rake leaves and I was still shaking.”

Macfie purchased her winning ticket using the Lotto Spot app and said she already knows how she’s going to celebrate.

“I want to give back to my husband,” she said. “[We want to] go on a trip to Scotland together!”

The winner explained that even now, weeks after discovering the prize, the experience still feels surreal: “It hasn't fully sunk in.”

Macfie's September 5 win transformed an ordinary day into a six-figure celebration. And while she's still getting used to all those zeros, she's already looking forward to creating new memories with her husband, including a long-awaited trip to Scotland.

Myth: Players in big cities/provinces have a better chance of winning a jackpot.

Fact: Every selection has the same chance of winning as every other selection sold for the same game, regardless of where you purchase it. Over time, locations of winning tickets tend to reflect the total proportion sold in an area, but provinces and cities don’t win lotteries – individual people or groups do.
