LIGHTNING LOTTO Strikes in Swan Hills – Electric $665,033 Win!

Lora Goosney’s day started out like many others; a full schedule of work, errands, and a game of bingo. As part of her routine, Goosney stopped to pick up a LIGHTNING LOTTO ticket – and won $665,033.20!

"I had bingo in the afternoon and a few things to do at work, so I went to pick up a couple tickets,” she explained. “I bought this ticket and [the store clerk] just looked at me and said, 'WHOA!'"

Unsure of what was happening, Goosney asked the store clerk: “‘Did I get it?’ He looked up and said, ‘You got it!’"
The Swan Hills winner said it took time for her win to fully sink in.

"I was in complete shock,” she said. “I don’t think I actually reacted because I didn't believe it was true."

As for what's next, Goosney has a few plans already taking shape.

"Some house renovations, I’ll put most of it away,” she began. “And then a trip to Ireland and Scotland with my sisters."

Goosney’s winning ticket was purchased at Swan Hills Esso, located at 4639 Federated Road in Swan Hills, Alberta. The winning LIGHTNING LOTTO numbers for the September 12 draw were 7, 17, 21, 44 and 47.
