Lethbridge Local Wins $196,914 on POKER LOTTO and ALL IN!

A quick stop at a local gas station became anything but ordinary for Nikki Coker when a routine ticket check sparked excitement loud enough to get the attention of the whole store!

The Lethbridge local won $196,914.20 on the September 8 POKER LOTTO and ALL IN draw.

Coker was on the phone with her sister when she asked the cashier for a ticket. What happened next caught everyone off guard: “It was instant. The cashier screamed, and I was thinking, ‘Why are you shouting?’” said Coker. “I was on the phone with my sister, and she was concerned about all the shouting.”

Still trying to understand what was happening, Coker found herself being invited behind the counter for a closer look.

“My sister was on the phone, and the cashier said for me to go around the computer and look at it. I was excited, but it was that ‘Is this real?’ feeling.”

As the reality of the six-figure prize began to sink in, Coker quickly knew what she was going to do with her windfall: “I’m going to take care of my kids!”

POKER LOTTO players can add ALL IN to their ticket for $1. If the cards dealt match a Royal Flush, the player wins the growing jackpot.

Coker purchased her winning ticket from Petro-Canada 6th Avenue, located at 535 6th Avenue in Lethbridge.

Myth: I’m never going to win a jackpot because I don’t live in a big city or in another province.

Fact: Provinces and cities don’t win lotteries – individual people or groups do. Every selection has the same chance of winning as every other selection sold for the same game, regardless of where you purchase it. Over time, locations of winning tickets do tend to reflect the total proportion sold in an area.
