Legal local wins $5 million on LOTTO 6/49!

Shannon Keast is celebrating a life-changing win after winning the $5 million LOTTO 6/49 Classic jackpot on the May 27 draw! 

The Legal local matched all six numbers to land the major prize: 5, 27, 35, 38, 44, and 46. 

Keast said the moment she realized she’d won didn’t sink in right away. 

“When I scanned it in store, I didn’t realize I’d won right away, I just heard the sound,” she recalled. “I was trying to FaceTime my husband and I was shaking and crying!” 

The excitement quickly spread as she shared the news. 

“We are both just so excited,” she smiled. 

Now, Keast and her family are beginning to think about what comes next. 

“We have a few plans,” she said. “We’re setting up trust accounts for family and looking at buying a cabin in Saskatchewan.” 

The couple is also planning a special trip. 

“We’re also going to be taking a trip to Costa Rica for a wedding,” she smiled. 

“It feels so surreal and overwhelming,” Keast added. “One of the best days of our lives!” 

Keast purchased her winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket from Mobil, located at 8903 100 Street in Morinville.
