Group of 22 Yorkton school colleagues win $100,000 EXTRA prize!

A group of 22 Yorkton-area coworkers is celebrating after winning $100,000 on EXTRA!

The group includes Barbara Bencze, Cheryl Sickel, Deanne Arnold, Laken Delong, Shelly Semaschuk, Kim
Decker, Myley Greene, Shauna Gervais, Corri Haas, Leanne Sauser, Cara McDowell,
Amakita Kolesar, Rhonda Bailey, Kari Ostapovich, Corrinne Melnychuk, Leona
Brenzen, Cheryl Bisschop, Preston Liebrecht, Wanda Conrad, Nicole Maier, Rita
Hillbig, and Charlotte Lovequiste.

The colleagues first met while working at the same school and have continued to play the lottery together each
week.

Barbara Bencze, who is responsible for purchasing and checking the group's tickets, said she was
stunned when she discovered the win.

“I sat down and scanned our lottery tickets—I couldn’t believe it!” she said. “I had to put on my glasses
because I couldn’t read it, but my phone was vibrating [with the Lotto Spot app
win notification!”

Bencze said sharing the win has made it even more exciting.

“The whole group is excited,” she said. “My portion is going to home renovations. It’s already spent!”

Other group members said their plans include paying bills, taking a holiday somewhere warm and fixing things
up around their homes.

The group purchased its winning DAILY GRAND and EXTRA ticket from Yorkton Food Centre at 30 Argyle St. in
Yorkton. They won their prize by matching the last six digits in the May 14
EXTRA draw: 6145120
