Gibbons local wins $2M on $20 Scratch & Win ticket!

Sandra Trenerry won a jaw-dropping $2 million on a $20 VAULT Scratch & Win ticket! 

The Gibbons winner said she bought the ticket at the pharmacy and went back to scan it the next day. 

“I went back to my pharmacist and I said, ‘Check these with me because I'm not sure if I’m seeing this right!’” Trenerry laughed. “She checked it and said, ‘Sandy… oh my, God!’” 

Trenerry also told her fiancé about the win… although in retrospect, she wishes she hadn’t done it while he was driving. 

“He just about hit the ditch!” she joked. “He was so surprised!” 

Her main plan for the winnings includes the start of a new chapter in her life: retirement. 

“I said I was going to retire next year but now I might do it sooner!” she smiled. “And my fiancé and I have been engaged for eight years now. COVID put a damper on wedding plans, but we may elope now!” 

She adds that other items on her to-do list include purchasing a new vehicle and sharing with her grandchildren. 

“I’m just so surprised!” she said. “I can’t believe it!” 

Trenerry purchased her winning $20 VAULT Scratch & Win ticket from Gibbons Remedy’s RX Pharmacy at 4728 50 Avenue in Gibbons.
