Four Yorkton friends win $100K EXTRA!

John Mcleod and his friends Christian Macleod, Brennan Hotsko and Evan Gleason are the latest group to win a major lottery prize in Saskatchewan!

The Yorkton friends took home $100,000 on the April 26 EXTRA draw!

“We used to buy tickets together but haven’t done it in a while,” Mcleod said. “We just started it up again and ended up winning!”

Mcleod was the one to check the ticket and let everyone know the good news.

“We all thought he was lying and had to confirm three or four times that he wasn’t,” laughed Gleason. “John sent screenshots to prove it!”

As for how they’ll spend their winnings, each member of the group has a slightly different idea. Mcleod said he is excited to buy a camper, Gleason is looking to put a down payment on a new car, and Brennan and Macleod are interested in saving their winnings for a rainy day—perhaps investing some of it as well!

“It’s very unbelievable and we never could have expected that it would happen,” Mcleod said. “We feel very lucky!”

Mcleod purchased the group’s winning LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA ticket from Fas Gas Plus at 150 Broadway St. W in Yorkton. They won their prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA selected on the April 26 draw: 3542773.
