Fort McMurray local wins $1M on LOTTO 6/49!
Josh Gaudet won $1 million on LOTTO 6/49!
The Fort McMurray local was on a school pickup run when he stopped to buy himself a drink.
“I was actually going to pick up a pop before picking up my daughter,” he chuckled. “Before I went into the store, I scanned my ticket on the Lotto Spot app -- I probably checked it three or four times to be sure what I was seeing!”
In fact, Gaudet was so stunned by his win, he forgot his plans altogether.
“I just blanked and just drove straight to the school,” he laughed. “I didn’t even go inside to grab a drink.”
Once Gaudet arrived at his daughter’s school, he was bursting to tell her the incredible news.
“I told her right when I picked her up,” he said. “And now she’s told everyone!”
Gaudet’s plans for his windfall include a long overdue trip out east.
“We're going to take a trip to Newfoundland so [my daughter] can meet my family for the first time,” he smiled. “Then we'll stop in Toronto and do some shopping.”
“She’s never met her grandfather or aunts or uncles, so it’ll be a good trip!”
Gaudet purchased his winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket from Circle K at 1 – 700 Signal Road in Fort McMurray. He won his prize in the March 18 LOTTO 6/49 Gold Ball draw with the selection: 34121378-03, a white ball.
