Edmontonian wins LOTTO MAX $15 million jackpot!

Tae Seong Lee is $15 million richer after winning the October 7 LOTTO MAX jackpot! 

The Edmontonian said he took a while to check his ticket, but when he did, he was shocked to see the win come up on screen in store. 

“I’ve always dreamed of this day,” he smiled. “But when I first found out, I couldn’t quite believe it and had to scan again!” 

Lee told his wife first, then his daughter, who both celebrated with him and began discussing how he would enjoy the winnings. 

“The first thing on my mind is paying off our mortgage,” he said. “Maybe I’ll replace our car after that!” 

Lee said he’s dreamed of a larger vehicle and may even buy a new truck. 

“I’ve also always wanted to travel more and do more community and charity work.” Lee said. “This will allow me to do all of that.” 

Lee said he hasn’t been able to visit his mom overseas for a few years and is eager to make the trip. 

“I’ll finally be able to go see my mom in Korea!” he smiled. 

Lee said the experience feels surreal after years of dreaming about it. 

“My coworkers all have a dream to win, and they buy tickets like I do,” he said. “So, it’s truly amazing to win like this.” 

Tae Seong Lee purchased his winning LOTTO MAX ticket from Petro Canada located at 3003 Calgary Trail in Edmonton. He won the jackpot by matching all the numbers in the October 7 LOTTO MAX draw: 5, 6, 16, 26, 29, 37, and 44.
