Edmontonian wins $2.5M on LOTTO 6/49 Classic Draw!

Shojiro Yamamoto is $2.5 million dollars richer after winning big on LOTTO 6/49! 

The Edmontonian said he typically only buys tickets occasionally—and this win really took him by surprise. 

“I looked up the winning numbers online,” he said. “I was shocked, and I told my wife!” 

“She didn’t believe it,” he laughed. “She was definitely shocked.” 

Yamamoto said he’s most excited to enjoy the winnings with his family, but he has some other plans in mind. 

“I just bought a house, so this is perfect timing!” he smiled. “It just feels—wow!” 

Yamamoto purchased his winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket from Kikit Convenience Store at 7542 178 Street NW in Edmonton.

He won the July 2 LOTTO 6/49 Classic Draw by matching the selection: 6, 25, 27, 34, 38, and 49. Another winner in Alberta also won the Classic Draw—and the prize was split between the two.
