Edmontonian wins $1M on LOTTO MAX!

Micheal Monaghan won $1 million on the May 8 LOTTO MAX draw!
The Edmontonian was going through his normal morning routine, drinking coffee and watching the news when he decided to check some tickets.
“I scanned the very first ticket and it said $1 million!” he said. “I was honestly breathless!”
“The first thing I did was call my partner to tell her,” he continued. “I took a screenshot of the ticket to show her and to show my son… who promptly asked for a dirt bike!”
His plans for the winnings include enjoying time with family, planning some travel, and closing out a chapter for himself personally.
“I’m going to pay off my late mother’s condo,” he said. “It is going to feel good to have that taken care of.”
“I also see a new truck on the horizon,” he smiled. “And we’re planning some family trips including the Dominican Republic, Ireland, and possibly Hawaii!”
Monaghan purchased his winning LOTTO MAX ticket from Shell at 13215 127 Street NW in Edmonton. He won one of the MAXMILLIONS prizes available in the May 8 LOTTO MAX draw by matching the selection: 3, 6, 16, 26, 30, 32, and 51.
