Cochrane winner does double-take over $250K EXTRA win! 

Linda Kozek won $250,000 on EXTRA and had to do a double-take. 

“I checked it on the self scanner and thought it was $25,000, which I was pretty excited about!” she laughed. “I took it to the cash register to double-check and realized I’d actually won $250,000!” 

“I was in shock,” she continued. “I didn’t know what to do—I just couldn’t believe it!” 

Now that Kozek has had time to calm down, she is looking to the future. 

“I’m going to invest this money for retirement,” she said. “I also want to take my mom on a trip—we’re thinking a train across Canada!” 

Kozek purchased her winning LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket from Save On Foods at 65 Bow Street in Cochrane. She won her prize by matching  the July 1 EXTRA selection: 723950.
