Carcross local wins $250K on DAILY GRAND!

Frances Neumann won $250,000 on the August 7 DAILY GRAND draw! 

The Carcross local was on a grocery run when she checked her ticket. 

“I took [the ticket] up to scan and the cashier told me I had won!” she said. “I couldn’t believe it—I asked if he was sure!” 

Once the cashier had confirmed the win, Neumann started celebrating. 

“I went home and told my husband while he was making dinner,” she smiled. “We’re both very excited.” 

The winner said she intends to enjoy her windfall thoroughly. 

“I’ll be able to pay off my car that I just purchased in the spring and put money away for the grandkids!” she said. “I don’t think it’s fully set in yet, but it’s great!” 

Neumann purchased her winning DAILY GRAND ticket from Carcross Grocery on Montana Avenue in Yukon. She won the game’s second-top prize by matching all five Main Draw numbers  selected for the August 7 draw: 7, 10, 19, 21, and 37. The winner shared the second-top prize of $500,000 with another ticket purchased in Ontario.
