Bezanson local wins $1 million on LOTTO MAX!

Mijeen Naude is the newest LOTTO MAX millionaire in Alberta after the Bezanson local won $1 million on the May 9 draw! 

Naude said she was sitting in the car waiting for her daughter to get in when scanned her ticket on the Lotto Spot app. 

“All these zeroes came up as my daughter was getting in and I couldn’t believe it!” she said. “I showed my daughter and then she told me we should show up at my husband’s work to tell him.” 

“He didn’t believe me at first,” she laughed. “He thought something was wrong!” 

Naude and her husband are excited to enjoy the winnings together and are already dreaming up how to do it. 

“We’re going to buy a car, get our bills paid, and invest!” she smiled. “We were thinking we would never retire so now we are relieved!” 

Naude also has travel plans in mind. 

“I’d love to visit Vancouver Island and take a trip to West Edmonton Mall,” she said.  

“I never thought this would happen and I’m so happy!” she said, adding with a laugh: “Now my husband has a sugar mama!” 

Naude purchased her winning LOTTO MAX ticket from Petro Canada at 13211 100 Street in Grande Prairie. She was one of five MAXMILLIONS winners in the May 9 draw and won with the selection: 6, 17, 21, 22, 35, 42, and 44.
