$884K LIGHTNING LOTTO win strikes in Red Deer!

A LIGHTNING LOTTO win has struck again… this time in Red Deer! 

Local Boro Grubacic won $884,629.60 on the April 15 LIGHTNING LOTTO draw and had the shock of a lifetime seeing the winning amount come up on screen! 

“I drop off newspapers for an older gentleman at his home every day, and I stop in Stettler to pick up the newspaper and a lottery ticket,” he explained. “It’s part of the route I drive daily for work as a courier and I’ve been doing it for 30 years.” 

“This time, I saw the win and I thought, ‘Wow, I hit it!’” he smiled. “I told my wife and kids that evening when they all arrived at home.” 

Now, Grubacic is looking forward to investing in real estate. 

“I’m planning to buy a new house and rent out my current one,” he explained. “I want to invest the rest of the money!” 

Admittedly, Grubacic adds, it hasn’t all sunk in yet! 

Grubacic purchased his winning LIGHTNING LOTTO ticket from Stettler Gas Bar at 4821 62 Street in Stettler. He won his prize by matching all five numbers in the selection for the April 15 LIGHTNING LOTTO draw: 4, 5, 22, 23, and 40.
