The Rocky Mountain House winner said he was checking several tickets when he heard the winning LIGHTNING LOTTO sound go off in store. 

“I happened to look up when the bell rang, and it caught my eye!” he said. “It stopped me in my tracks.” 

Luedtke said it took him a moment to realize what was really happening. 

“I just thought, ‘Is this a dream?’” he laughed. 

Now, the Rocky Mountain House winner said his plans are to pay off his home and enjoy the summer. 

“I’m paying my mortgage and my bills and then we’ll see what happens!” he smiled. 

Luedtke purchased his winning LIGHTNING LOTTO ticket from Petro Canada at 4419 45 Street in Rocky Mountain House. He won his prize in a flash by matching all five numbers in the selection for the March 8 LIGHTNING LOTTO draw: 1, 6, 10, 24, and 35.
