$100K EXTRA win in Craik!

Tony Sugarman won $100,000 on the February 17 EXTRA draw.

“I took the ticket into the store and stood chatting with [the cashier] Brian while he checked it,” he explained. “The machine started making some funny noise that it usually doesn’t make—Brian and I both used some choice words in shock when we realized what happened!”

Once the Craik local had somewhat recovered from the shock of winning, he called his wife to tell her.

“I said, ‘I’ve got something to make your headache better,’ then I told her that we won,” he said, chuckling. “She didn’t believe me!”

The pair said they’d been discussing what they’d do with a windfall for a long time and are excited to get started.

“This will be life changing for us,” he continued. “We will be paying off our home and some bills along with completing some renovations.”

“This will allow us to get ahead of the game and have some money in the bank!” he smiled. “I have no words—I’m emotional, excited, and happy!”

The Craik winner said he likes to play LOTTO MAX with EXTRA regularly for a number of reasons, including a desire to support Sask Lotteries initiatives.

“I like the fact that it goes right back into the community and helps our children and community,” he said at his prize claim interview. “It’s also easy to do!”

Sugarman purchased his winning LOTTO MAX and EXTRA ticket from J & B Ackland Auto Service at 690 Mary St. in Craik. He won his prize in the February 17 EXTRA draw by matching the last six digits: 4457571.

Myth: Playing the same numbers every week gives me a greater chance of winning the Jackpot.

Fact: Each draw is an independent event, and all numbers have the same chance of being selected for every draw.
