$100,000 EXTRA win in Hay Lakes!

Dora Ellerton was up late when she decided to check her LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA ticket… and there was no sleep after that!

The Hay Lakes local won $100,000 on the July 26 EXTRA draw!

“I was up reading,” she explained. “I checked my ticket numbers and kept looking at my ticket numbers and the EXTRA numbers, back and forth. I was in shock!”

The new winner said she told her partner right away.

“I looked to my partner and asked, ‘How would you feel if we won $100,000?’” she said.

Ellerton said she has a couple ideas for her recent windfall.

“I’m going to put some money toward my line of credit,” she said. “That is –after we go for a dinner to celebrate!”

Even more exciting? Ellerton said the win has brought her closer to retirement!

“I’ll be able to retire in two-and-a-half years!” she beamed. “It’s very exciting!”

Ellerton purchased her winning LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA ticket at Hay Lakes Super Market, located at 8 Main Street in Hay Lakes. She won her prize by matching six of the seven EXTRA digits drawn on July 26: 5936101. She also won a LOTTO 6/49 Free Play!
