$100,000 EXTRA win in Bonnyville!

“I was a bit shaky!”

Joel Cross won $100,000 on the June 27 LOTTO MAX and EXTRA draw. The Bonnyville local said he had to catch himself after scanning his ticket in-store.

“At a quick glance, I thought it was $1,000,” he explained. “Then the cashier checked it and she said, ‘No, it’s $10,000?’ Then we counted the zeroes – $100,000!”

“I was a bit shaky after that!” he laughed.

Cross said he called his brother shortly after scanning his ticket to tell him the good news.

“My brother and I have been wanted to buy property in Nova Scotia for a while,” he said. “Now, we can!”

The winner said he also plans to invest for the future.

Cross purchased his winning ticket from Ruth's located at 5024 51 Avenue in Bonnyville. He won his prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number drawn on June 27 – 4515113.
