New Lottery Hours for Sales and Validations

Starting on May 18, 2016, lottery sales and validations will be available for 23 hours.

  • This does not mean that retail hours of operation are changing. If a lottery location is open for 24 hours, this will allow you to purchase and check tickets during the new extended times listed below.
  • Purchase cut-off times for games being drawn that evening remain the same.

Time Zone New lottery system hours Purchase cut-off time (games being drawn that evening)
Central (SK Winter) 5:00 am - 4:00 am 9:30 pm
Mountain (SK Summer) 4:00 am - 3:00 am 8:30 pm
Pacific 3:00 am - 2:00 am 7:30 pm

Remember: Due to later draw times, winning results are also later. Wait to check your numbers the day after the draw.

KENO and SPORT SELECT expiry dates

KENO and SPORT SELECT tickets bought on or after May 18, 2016 will expire one full year from the draw date or the last game listed on the ticket. The expiry date will continue to be printed on the front of the ticket.

For games like LOTTO 6/49 and LOTTO MAX, these tickets already expire one year from the draw date.

SCRATCH 'N WIN ticket expiry dates have not changed and are printed on the back of each ticket.

No prizes can be claimed once a ticket has expired.

Note: SPORT SELECT and KENO tickets printed prior to May 18, 2016 fall under the previous expiry rules.
