Lloydminster couple wins $1M on ticket they’d stashed away for months!

Cory and Lynnette Edwards are officially millionaires!

The Lloydminster locals won big on WESTERN MAX on a ticket they almost forgot they had.

“We had just finished supper and Cory was checking a bunch of lottery tickets we had sitting around under the stove light,” explained Lynnette.

“It came up as $1 million dollars, and I thought, ‘That can’t be right!’” Cory laughed.“I checked the ticket two or three times before I called Lynnette over to ask her to scan it, too!” he continued. “She said, ‘You’re kidding me, right?’ and then scanned it—and all she said was, ‘Are you serious?!’”

The pair was absolutely in shock… especially once they realized the ticket was two months old!

“I just can’t believe it was sitting there for two months!” laughed Lynnette.

“I knew it was old—I didn’t know it was that old!” Cory chimed in.

The winners said they are excited to make the most of their windfall.

“I’ve been really into investing lately,” explained Cory. “We’ll probably invest this for a year and then see what we want to do with it—We’ve got some renovations we’d like to get done!”

Cory and Lynnette Edwards purchased their winning WESTERN MAX ticket from North Stop Co-op at 6110A 49 Avenue in Lloydminster. They won their prize by matching one of the selections for the $1 Million Dollar prizes in the May 23 WESTERN MAX draw: 14, 26, 36, 42, 43, 46, and 47.
