Calgary's MAXMILLIONS Millionaire!
$1 million winner on the October 25th LOTTO MAX Draw

Alyssa Beauchamp had no idea she was a winner until she scanned her LOTTO MAX lottery ticket on the self serve ticket checker. She read the seven digits it displayed over and over. She checked her ticket seven times; every time, she saw a one and six zeroes. Then she looked at the winning LOTTO MAX results, printed and posted at the lottery retailer and saw another significant ‘seven’ – her ticket matched all seven numbers of one of the 10 MAXMILLIONS selections drawn.
“It was snowing, so there was hardly anybody around. But I still waited until the only other customer in the store left before asking the clerk if she could please check my ticket… quietly,” Alyssa laughed.
The clerk confirmed that Alyssa had won a million dollars. “I cried,” she confessed. “I’ll admit it. I cried.”Alyssa purchased her winning ticket from the 7-Eleven store at 1907 – 8th Avenue N.E. a couple of days before the Friday, October 25th draw.
She said she has lots of plans for her new-found fortune.
“My husband and I are going to take a Mediterranean cruise,” she reported. “It’s the honeymoon we never had.”
But there’s something much more important that Alyssa Beauchamp really wants to do.
“My dream has been to help my parents, especially my mom. She raised four children, two of them disabled. It’s been a dream of mine to be able to take care of her, to say, ‘whatever you want, Mom; send the bills to me.’That is just a lifelong dream,” the new millionaire smiled.
