Yellowknife player goes ALL IN on POKER LOTTO and wins more than $190K!

Lela Billo is a regular when it comes to purchasing POKER LOTTO and ALL IN tickets, but her latest weekly play was far from regular – she won more than $194,030.90 on February 7!

The Yellowknife winner said she had joked around with the cashier as she paid for the ticket, but they weren’t laughing by the time the ticket was scanned.

“I was in the Co-op and saw a POKER LOTTO jackpot at $184,000. I said to the cashier: ‘It sure would be nice to win that amount!’” she explained. “I paid for my tickets, looked up and said ‘Oh, I won $10,000!’ The clerk said, ‘I think you may have won a little more than that!’”

The winner said she and the cashier were both gobsmacked and took a moment to let it sink in. She said it’s a bright spot after a difficult month.

“I was just stunned,” she explained. “My mom passed away on February 1st. It does not feel real yet, but I just feel so blessed.”

As for her winnings, Billo said she’s looking forward to getting the most out of her retirement with this extra boost.

Billo purchased her POKER LOTTO and ALL IN ticket from Yellowknife Direct Charge Co-op, located at 321 Old Airport Road in Yellowknife. She won a $10,000 Royal Flush instant prize, plus the ALL IN jackpot of $184,030.90.
