How an Alberta couple learned they’d won the lottery... over the phone!

Lewis and Wendy Patmore might have a new favourite child—after winning big on a LOTTO MAX subscription gifted by their daughter. 

“We had no idea that we’d won until we got the call from the WCLC,” Wendy explained. “Our daughter buys us a lottery subscription every year for Christmas!” 

The High Level couple won $100,000 on the April 2 EXTRA draw. 

The happy couple said they are already excitedly planning how they will spend it. 

“We are both retiring soon, so we’re thinking of a nice vacation and of course we’ll give our daughter some money,” the winners said as they claimed their prize. 

“We’re just in total shock,” Lewis added. “It feels fantastic.”
