Winnipeg couple spins their way to $300,000 lottery prize!
Gary and Noreen Brock of Winnipeg are Manitoba’s newest big winners on THE BIG SPIN – the couple were delighted to discover THE BIG SPIN ticket Gary purchased for Noreen for her birthday won them $10,000 and a date with THE BIG SPIN prize wheel.
On August 11, the Brocks finally got the chance to spin and were blown away last week when the prize wheel came to a stop and revealed they’d be $300,000 richer!
“This was such a wonderful birthday surprise!” exclaimed Noreen as the couple was presented with a cheque for their windfall. “It’s going to be a tough one to top!”
Gary purchased their winning THE BIG SPIN ticket at the 7-Eleven Food Store located at 1485 Inkster Boulevard in Winnipeg. He bought five tickets at the time, two of which revealed the Brocks had won ‘Spin Wins’ – which allow winners to take their ticket to a retail location where an animated prize wheel shows what they’ve won.
“We weren’t familiar with the rules when we first won,” said Gary. “So I took the tickets back to the store right away to see what we won.”
One Spin Win netted the Brocks won $10, the other was the big winner – the screen flashed BIG SPIN, which means winners get a $10,000 prize and then a chance to spin the Prize Wheel for up to $500,000 more.
“I was happy when the one ticket won $10,” laughed Gary. “$10,000 and now $300,000 on top of that… well that’s just amazing!”
The happy couple said they’re going to put their winnings toward home renovations and sharing with their family.
THE BIG SPIN is a $5 Zing ticket with one major difference: players can win cash prizes the same way as with a regular scratch ticket, but can also uncover a ‘Spin Win” which lets them discover their prize through an animated prize wheel at any Lotto Spot retailer. If the player’s Spin Win prize is a “Big Spin”, they win $10,000 PLUS a chance to spin a prize wheel that guarantees them at least another $100,000, and possibly up to $500,000! Tickets for The Big Spin are available at Lotto Spot retailers.
