Q: What devices can I use to access Subscription Spot?

A: You can access the Subscription Spot website on a computer or mobile device. Please note that if you begin a purchase on one device, your progress may not be visible if you change to another device. You may need to complete your purchase on the same device you began it on. However, once you’ve made a purchase, it will be visible regardless of the device you are using.

Q: Who can play the lottery through Subscription Spot?

A: You must be a resident of the Canadian Prairie Provinces or the North, and be 18 years of age or older to register and purchase lottery products through Subscription Spot.

Q: Can I access my Subscription Spot account while I’m travelling?

A: You can access information about your Subscription Spot account from anywhere. However, you must be physically located within the Canadian Prairie Provinces (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba) or Territories (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut) to make a purchase through the service.

Q: Can I see my Subscription Spot information online?

A: Yes. You can login to your Subscription Spot account at any time to check the selections you’re playing, and any prizes won to date.

Q: What games are available on Subscription Spot?

A: You can use Subscription Spot to play LOTTO MAX, LOTTO 6/49, WESTERN MAX, WESTERN 649, and DAILY GRAND. EXTRA is also available as an add-on to all these games.

Q: When will my subscription start?

A: Subscriptions begin for the next available draw. When you complete your subscription purchase, your confirmation will include your eligible draws.

Q: Can I choose to play only one draw per week with my subscription if the game has two draws per week?

A: No. Subscriptions are for all consecutive draws for the duration of the purchase.

Q: Can I subscribe without a credit card?

A: No, the Subscription Spot online service can only be used with credit card payment. However, we still offer an alternative mail subscription service, where you can purchase a subscription through other payment methods.  Information on this service is available on this website or by calling 1-800-665-3313.

Q: Are there any additional fees to play the lottery through Subscription Spot?

A: Playing through Subscription Spot costs the same as playing the same selections on tickets sold at a Lotto Spot retailer. We do not charge any additional fees.   

However, you should confirm with your card provider what, if any, additional fees may apply to a lottery purchase. We are aware that some credit card issuers may consider charges to purchase lottery products as cash advances and may charge service fees and/or interest from the date you purchase your subscription.  

Any additional charges that may appear on your credit card bill are not imposed by us, and we do not benefit from them. These policies are under the control of your credit card issuer. WCLC is not responsible for any additional charges or fees when using a credit card for a lottery subscription purchase.

Q: How are prizes paid?

A: Prizes up to $1,000 are deposited in your bank account on the first business day following the draw. For prizes over $1,000, you’ll be contacted by WCLC within the days following the draw.

Q: What happens if I win the jackpot?

A: If you win a major prize, WCLC staff will be in touch with you in the days following the draw to begin the process of the prize claim.

Q: What if I win Free Plays with my Subscription?

A: When you win a Free Play on Subscription Spot, a Free Play subscription will be generated for the next available draw. This will be viewable on your Subscription Spot dashboard. Multiple free plays will play for consecutive draws.

Q: Can I add EXTRA to free plays won on Subscription Spot?

A: No. Subscription Spot free plays will be a selection for the host game only, played for the next available draw.

Q: What if I cancel my Monthly subscription?

A: When you cancel, you are suspending any further automatic payments towards your subscription. Any paid draws for the current month will continue to play out. These draws cannot be cancelled and refunded.
