Play Both - Double Your Playing Power

  • Play Both to play the same set(s) of numbers for LOTTO 6/49 and WESTERN 649, excluding the additional Quick Pick line for WESTERN 649.

How to play by Selection Slip

Play Both Selection Slip

  1. Mark the Play Both box on a LOTTO 6/49, WESTERN 649, LOTTO MAX or WESTERN MAX Selection Slip.
  2. Select six numbers for LOTTO 6/49 and WESTERN 649, or seven numbers for LOTTO MAX and WESTERN MAX,  from a field of 1 to 49.
  3. Add up to six or seven EXTRA numbers depending on the games you are playing, by marking "Yes" under each board you play.* For each Play Both Selection you purchase, you can choose to play a different EXTRA number for an additional $2. Different EXTRA numbers will appear on your LOTTO 6/49, WESTERN 649, LOTTO MAX or WESTERN MAX tickets.
  4. Mark the number of draws you want to play, from one to 25. Learn about Advance Play here.

*The EXTRA number(s) is valid for the same draw date(s) as the Host Game (the game listed at the top of your ticket).

  • When playing Play Both, separate tickets will be issued for each game.
  • You can also choose Play Both when playing by Combo Play. 

How to play by Quick Pick

  1. Ask for a Quick Pick and the Ticket Terminal will choose your Selection(s). Quick Pick Selections will be the same on both tickets - if you're playing LOTTO 6/49 and WESTERN 649, you'll also receive an additional WESTERN 649 Quick Pick for every Play Both Selection purchased. 
  2. Say "Yes" to EXTRA and specify how many EXTRA numbers you want to "ENTER".*  For each Play Both Selection you purchase, you can choose to play a different EXTRA number for an additional $2. Different EXTRA numbers will appear on your LOTTO 6/49 and WESTERN 649 or LOTTO MAX and WESTERN MAX tickets.
