$1 million SET FOR LIFE lottery win in St. Albert
William and Lee-Ann Boyer credit a payday ritual for a huge lottery payday. The St. Albert couple said they still can’t believe they won $1 million on a SET FOR LIFE SCRATCH’N WIN ticket.
Every payday, Lee-Ann buys a mixture of the tickets that she likes and those that William likes.
“I won a small prize on one of my tickets,”” said William. “So, I asked Lee-Ann to pick up another ticket for me.”
“I just had this feeling that we should get another ticket,” he said.
That ticket was a $5 SET FOR LIFE ticket that would turn out to be a top prize winner. William uncovered three “Set for Life” symbols – winning his choice of $1,000 a week for 25 years, or a single payment of $1 million. The couple opted for the $1 million.
“We’ve never been this lucky,” William said. “It’s an amazing feeling, but it’s an emotional time for us as well. We feel so lucky, and so happy!”
“I don’t see our life changing too much,” said William. “We’ll just keep doing what we’ve always done.”
“The big plan is to pay off some bills and relax a bit,” said Lee-Ann. “And maybe we’ll look at taking a cruise sometime down the line.”
The Boyers purchased their winning SCRATCH ‘N WIN ticket at Save-On-Foods, located at 500-140 St. Albert Road.
