PAYDAY Retires January 17, 2013
Advance Draws Start Rolling Down
After almost five years of play, the PAYDAY lottery game is being retired, with the final draw being held on January 17, 2013. Sales have dropped significantly from when the game first started and other lottery regions who’ve offered the game have also discontinued it.
This will affect players who want to purchase advance draws for PAYDAY. Each week, one less draw will be available to play PAYDAY through Advance Play. For example, tickets purchased for the August 30th draw can only be purchased for 20 Advance Play draws. Tickets for the September 6th draw will only be available for 19 draws and so on.
Counting Down the Draws
The number of available Advance Play draws will decrease by one every Thursday for PAYDAY only.

How long do I have to check my PAYDAY ticket?
PAYDAY tickets can still be checked and redeemed up to one year from the draw date on the ticket.
Subscribers: Effective immediately, Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) can no longer accept PAYDAY Subscription renewals that extend past the January 17th draw date. Players who already have a PAYDAY Subscription registered to play past the final draw will receive a refund cheque for the outstanding balance of their Subscription that extends beyond that date. Refunds will be issued in January 2013.
Although PAYDAY will no longer be offered, plans are already underway for a new game to be offered only in the Canadian Prairie Provinces and Territories starting early in 2013. Watch for more information coming soon!
