Q. The
Top Prize on MILLIONAIRE LIFE is an annuity of $1 Million a year for 25 years. What
is an annuity?
A. An annuity is a type of
long-term investment purchased by the lottery from an annuity provider on behalf
of the winner. Annuities allow significant prize payments to be made to winners
over an extended period of time. The MILLIONAIRE LIFE Top Prize winner will
receive a prize that includes twenty-five (25) payments of $1 Million for 25
consecutive years.
Q. Would the person who wins the Top Prize have to take the annuity,
or is a cash option available?
A. The Top Prize winner has a choice
between the 25-year annuity and a lump-sum payment of $17 Million.
Q. Why is the cash
alternative
$17 Million as opposed to $25 Million?
A. Seventeen million dollars ($17 Million) is the
approximate cost of the 25-year annuity.
Q. What happens to the prize
if someone chooses the annuity and passes away prior to the completion of the
twenty-five (25) annual payments?
A. The winner’s beneficiary would receive the commuted value for the remainder
of the annuity owed.

Million a year for life or one of the four second prizes of $1 Million each is
not eligible to win any subsidiary prize. Except for the Early Bird prizes, you
